By: j | March 25th, 2009

With the international week before us Wolfsburg looks ahead Bayern München’s visit of Volkswagen Arena a week Saturday. Riding a crest of a wave, die Wölfe are showing no signs of letting up as they have won seven consecutive matches, the best in the Bundesliga since the start of the Rückrunde.

During the break a host of Wolfsburg’s own will on international duty.

Edin Džeko and Zvjezdan Misimović will proudly wear the Plavo-žuti as Bosnia and Herzegovina continue their efforts to qualify in Group 5 facing Belgium in a home and away series. Marcel Schäfer has been called up by Joachim Löw for Germany’s World Cup qualifying matches against Liechtenstein and Wales. Daniel Adlung and Ashkan Dejagah are honored with representing the German U21 side whist the highly promising Alexander Esswein joins the U19 team. Peter Pekarík joins Slovakia who face England in a friendly before a massive test against the Czech Republic. Jan Šimůnek returns to the Czech Republic colours as they face two extraordinary matches; Slovenia and Slovakia. Yoshito Ōkubo and Makoto Hasebe join Takeshi Okada’s ambitious Japan side against Bahrain. Diego Benaglio joins Ottmar Hitzfeld’s Switzerland side as the Nati face Moldova. Josué is a part of the Seleção as face Ecuador and Peru.
