week 3 Eintracht Frankfurt match preview

The third week of the Bundesliga season has Eintracht Frankfurt visiting the Volkswagen Arena. It has been a tough early start of the campaign for Friedhelm Funkel’s club with only draw from two matches and they will be looking to get the season going. Felix Magath is aware his clubs weakness to-date has been getting off to a slow start and will need to attack early or Eintracht Frankfurt will padlock the match defensively.

Vfl Wolfsburg:Edin Džeko is back from injury and Grafite returns from suspension

It is very clear that both clubs are stuttering along in the early part of the Bundesliga season, particularly Eintracht Frankfurt. The “adjustments” to their opening day lineup which lost 2-0 Hertha Berlin was “successful” in capturing a 1-1 draw against FC Köln but created an anemic attack that somehow squeezed in a goal and offers little threat. It would be misleading not to mention that the Friedhelm Funkel’s club will be radically different when Ümit Korkmaz, Zlatan Bajramović and Alexander Meier return and threatened with the attack. Simply this is a opportune time to face them before that trio return.

This is a perfect opportunity for the Azzurri duo of Cristian Zaccardo and Andrea Barzagli to lead the club to its first clean sheet of the campaign and Zvjezdan Misimović, Grafite and Edin Džeko to go on the hunt (die Wölfe) for goals.
