KJ – I understand totally. While I question how accurate interviews are, as opposed to “publicity” type comments I wonder how both feel about leaving the Rosanero. I was shocked to say the least but also very excited about the promise of high quality defending in the Bundesliga. However after a few months the ideas of defending are far from what I hoped.

Cristian’s playing time hasn’t been what I assumed. I’m hopeful that Felix Magath will respect the defending aspect more with Christian front and center. If the club doesn’t make this change I don’t think they’ll come near their pre-season goals.

Palermo travels to Sardinia this weekend – it’ll be an exciting match.

Zaccardo is also a favorite of mine I hope he succeeds and makes it back to the national team I think he can be a very talented attacking full back as well as a good defender.

J, I’m just kidding with you. Barzagli was an overpaid baby with no heart in the last year with Palermo. We were happy to see him leave. On the other hand, I’m glad he has worked out for you.

Zaccardo was a personal favorite of mine. I was disappointed to see him leave Palermo. Lack of playing time? Has he not played well?

KJ, I understand your respect and interest in Palermo. It might surprise you to hear me say that I’m very glad it has worked out for both clubs. I not only think highly of the work Andrea Barzagli but always extremely hopeful that my Sicilian friends in Palermo do well.

Lorenzo, I am very partial to the defending aspect of Football and very appreciative of both Andrea’s contribution but Cristian Zaccardo’s as well. I have not liked the lack of playing time for Cristian but recently Wolfsburg manager as used him more and I suspect it is because he realizes if they are to climb the table they must defend better.

Ricci – Grafite has contributed on a regular basis and producing at a high rate although he has recently suffered a injury in training. If you have a chance to watch the matches Sir, please take a good look at the combination of Zvjezdan Misimović and Edin Džeko. Edin is only 22 and growing by leaps and bounds this year.
